School District # 67 – Okanagan Skaha

School District # 67 is in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. It serves Penticton and Summerland. There are over 7,000 students enrolled. It has been recognized provincially and nationally for using technology particularly well in order to enhance learning.

Penticton boasts two high schools (Gr. 9-12), two middle schools (Gr. 6-8) and seven elementary schools (Gr. K-5). Elementary Schools

The seven elementary schools are strategically placed throughout Penticton’s neighbourhoods, and offer a host of programs. Each elementary school provides a nurturing and caring environment that encourages life-long learning. Some of the innovative programs in School District #67’s elementary schools include:

Middle Schools

The Okanagan Hockey Academy partnered with Penticton Secondary to provide long term athletic and academic development in a structured environment. The flexible schedule provided by Penticton Secondary allows students to combine their academic endeavours with the rigorous hockey schedule. The Okanagan Hockey Academy prepares athletes for post-secondary opportunities as well as major-junior hockey programs.

Okanagan College

Okanagan College offers a wide range of certificates, diplomas degrees and post-secondary programs. It has been in operation since 1963 and is the largest college in British Columbia outside Metro Vancouver. In addition to over 8,500 full time students, the college is also home to over 1,000 international students.
